Hey guys! I thought seeing as my last post was all about my current skincare loves, I would now let you in on all my current makeup loves! It still amazes me every single day how much makeup is growing and all the new and exciting things that all brands are coming up with! Just when we think we have seen it all, a brand brings out something new that blows all us makeup lovers brains and keeps us guessing with what will actually be created next!

Take me back a year ago I was all about doing full glam every single day, but when I’m not working, I like to keep it more on the natural side, so I’ll be able to cater for the full glam gals and guys as well as the more natural glam gals/guys with this post! So before i keep rambling on, lets get started!

This little bottle of absolute heaven has been my number one go to for a natural, bronzed glow. The product is infused with Argan oil which is super hydrating for your skin so while it makes your makeup look fresh and flawless, its also helping give your skin that extra boost of hydration!

Pros: A bottle of this illuminizer lasts me MONTHS! The smallest amount (pea size) will cover your entire face and keep you glowing for days. I even sometimes multi use it by adding it over my foundation for a natural highlight without using powder highlighters. Its super light weight and can be worn by itself for a natural glow too! I love that it has the argan oil through it to keep your skin happy, hydrated and glowy!

Cons: I dont really have cons for this product, it is worth the price, however if you use to much your whole hands are glowy, so i suggest using a brush, thats more of a tip than a con though!

Price: $37.00  from http://www.mecca.com.au

We all know how much smashbox slay the game when it comes to their primers, one of their new ones is the two in one primerizer – a primer and moisturiser in one! The formula is super light weight, super hydrating and just feels like the perfect base before you slay your face with makeup.

Pros: The product delivers 24 hour hydration which is perfect for my fellow Australians with the warm weather already starting to hit us! (thank god!) As I said, the formula is super light so when applying to the skin its not thick or heavy. Whats incredible about this primer is that there is zero dry time, so if you/re in a rush as soon as you place it on the skin you can get straight into your foundation base, unlike so many other primers!

Cons: Once again, theres not much negativity I can say about this product, only thing as a skin specialist, I still use a moisturiser underneath this primer as I’m pretty strict with my skincare routine!

Price: $61.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

Ive truly gone through a whole bottle of this so quickly! Not because its small or wastes quickly, but because i’m absolutely OBSESSED with it!! This new little spray by too faced is a multi use product, You can use it as a spray primer, a setting spray for your makeup and a hydration booster spray for the warm weather us Australians have been experiencing lately, Its honestly one you need in your makeup bag!

Pros: Its three in one, so its perfect for travel, its perfect if you dont want to use multiple products for your makeup and its PERFECT for the warmer weather we are getting! It smells like a tropical holiday and is honestly my go-to for everything. Its not sticky like other setting sprays and works so well when going for that natural glow!

Cons: Honestly cannot fault this product, the bottle is large so you get so much out of it. Its a must have!

Price: $46.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

If you are a mecca beauty junkie you would know all about the Mecca lit from within highlighter.. well.. now we have the mecca cosmetica lit from within illuminating drops and let me just say.. I’m OBSESSED! These little drops of heaven are multi use and will keep you glowing for days! the drops are super light weight and work in multiple different ways to keep you dewy, glowing and hydrated!

Pros: Ive been into liquid illuminators for a while now and after trying this one, what i love about it is how light weight it is, but how much of a natural glow it gives the skin. Its soft, silky and blends so easily! You can use this product mixed with your foundation, mixed with your moisturiser or serum for a natural glow and an extra boost of hydration or even on top of your foundation for a liquid heaven highlight!

Cons: The only thing I would change about this product is the size, I literally want all of the lit from within illuminator and NEED it all, but thats just me being greedy 😉

Price: $45.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

Have you ever gotten super angry after doing your makeup perfectly, then you go and set with powder and you look dry, powdery and it ruins your whole look? Well not with this bad boy in your life! These powders will set your makeup but keep your skin looking glowy, even and beautiful. The dim light colour is my favourite, but there are multiple to chose from that mimic different lighting effects.

Pros: The powder is super velvety which means it sets to the skin beautifully and makes your skin still look glowy and natural. The packaging and product is beautiful, which hourglass are so amazing when it comes to any product they produce and how they display them! The compact lasts forever and only the smallest amount is needed to set your foundation!

Cons: I personally cannot fault this product, but if you are someone who prefers a matte finish, Id suggest not going for something like these powders, however I would always suggest going into a local mecca and trying it on the skin, I’m sure you will fall in love with it!

Price: $67.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

This heaven sent highlighter has always been one of my go-to favourites! This mineral based highlighter is super soft, so easy to blend and gives the perfect pop of highlight to the face. The colour works on me when I am pale and when I have a fake tan, which I love! I’ve even used this all over the skin when I run out of my hourglass ambient [powder and it set my foundation perfectly!

Pros: Theres 77 mineral complexes in this powder that glide on the skin so smoothly. I love the beautiful natural highlight this powder gives! Its soft, velvety and the perfect highlight for so many skin tones!

Cons: I find that i go through these pretty quickly, but thats only probably because I use it all the time!

Price: $48.00 available at http://www.maccosmetics.com.au

So if you guys were not aware, Mecca have launched their new brand called mecca max for all your beauty needs at beautiful affordable prices, and let me just say – this foundation is my go to love at the moment! Its a medium to full coverage foundation, velvety and blends perfectly! Theres 8 beautiful shades to chose from and number 4 looks perfect with a fake tan! Ive gone through bottles of this foundation already thats how much i LOVE it!!

Pros: This product is SO affordable, yet SO good!! I honestly was blown away when i tried it. It blends so perfectly, its so easy to build up to full coverage and stays on all day! If you dont want to spend heaps of money on a foundation this one is perfect! You get the great quality for such a great price.

Cons: I cant fault this one either, only thing i wish is there were more shades so I can fill my whole kit up with them!

Price: $32.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

Anyone who knows my personally knows how obsessed I am with my liquid liners, and Ive found my NUMBER ONE in this perversion pen by URBAN DECAY.  The pen not only makes it easier to get that wing razor sharp and perfect, but you can achieve such a fine line with them which makes it a perfect pen for beginners as well!

Pros: i suffer from bad watery eyes (i cry when i laugh its actually super weird) so the fact that this pen is waterproof, and actually lives up to that makes me so happy! Trust me when I say i have tried so many liquid liners, and this one is by far my number one – so all my fellow liquid liner lovers – I suggest you give this a go, I’m almost certain you will love it too!

Cons: The only thing i can say, like many liners- I feel like it runs out pretty quickly, but thats probably because I use it every day – however you push the pen and it will drain out all the liquid, which means you get the most out of the product. Another thing I wish it had was more colour choice, currently only black available so it would be great to see some different colours!

I dont think I go anywhere without this bad boy in my bag! This has got to be my all time favourite clear brown gel, it literally keeps my brows in shape for a buy day – whether thats with work, gym, the warm weather- I touch my brows all the time and this gel just ensures that they stay in place like i had only just done them!

Pros: The wand is super easy to use with 4 different lengths to decide how you want the brows to look (brushed up, more defined etc) the gel keeps your brows in place ALL day long and the product lasts forever! I use it every day and I’ve had mine for 3 months and there is still SO much product left.

Cons: Theres only one thing I can fault, is the smell of the gel – it might be because I’m sensitive to scents, but it actually isn’t the nicest smell in the world!

Price: $42.00 available at myer.com.au

If you have not heard of this product, then I’m sure you have been living under a rock – this is one of the most popular concealers on the market, and I 100% know why! Ive been using this concealer for years and i can honestly say I am obsessed!

Pros: There are so many pros for this product, its creamy, full coverage, really easy to blend and works so well as a skin tone concealer of if you’re like me, going 1-2 shades lighter to highlight certain points under the face. This concealer has hydrating properties so it will not dry out when you are using it either!

Cons: Theres only two things I can fault on this product, it is small, so it doesn’t last long – and SOMETIMES it sits in my creases – but that also depends on my skin!

Price: $44.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

Screen Shot 2017-10-19 at 8.27.43 PM.png

So before telling you why I love this product, you may see the photo above looks way too dark for my skin tone to be a highlighter – thats because bare minerals have created highlighters for different skin tones – and i chose the deep-dark to use as a bronzer. As soon as I saw the orange tone marble mixed with a beautiful dark tan colour, I knew it would look perfect to define the cheek bones! the product has a beautiful amount of shimmer, so if you are like me and love the glow in both your highlighters and your bronzers, that is easy to blend, this is a MUST try product for you!

Pros: This is a mineral based product, so not only do you know its good to be placed on your skin, but the buttery texture blends so perfectly and makes it easy to have a beautiful textured tone and not a harsh line. This line by bare minerals mimic the sunlight, so when your skin is in the sun, you look natural, glowy and chiseled to perfection 😉

Cons: Another one i cant fault, its SUPER pigmented, so make sure when you use it, to tap your excess off and slowly build your colour.

Price: $40.00 available at http://www.mecca.com.au

So guys, I hope you liked this one! It was a list of just a few of my go-to favourites, but Im currently writing a larger list containing eyeshadow palettes and my favourite lashes too, that will be coming next week so make sure you keep an eye out for that one! Thank you so much for reading and if you would like me to review or try any products for you guys, please dont hesitate to message me and let me know! ❤

Hi All!

Today I have a very different post to share then what I usually do. Today I am sharing one of my first ever youtube videos! A few weeks ago a took a drive down to an American grocery store and picked up some weird, random snacks, I called up one of my friends who would be game enough to try them with me and we decided to record our reactions. Now, I wish I did have more of a variety but the shop did not have as much as I was expecting it to have, but it was still so fun to film! we tried some candy, cereal and some savoury snacks and our reactions are very mixed! You can check out the video below!

Heads up, the video goes for almost 20 minutes! Hope you guys enjoy!

Until next time,

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the start of the weekend, and if you are a Melbournian like me, the long weekend! It is no secret that I absolutely love going to the movies.. I mean, who doesn’t? The comfy seats, the big screen, the popcorn, the choctops! If you dont like the movies, you are lying to yourself! Ill admit, I definitely go way to often and spend way to much money on it, but im totally content and okay with that!

Last weekend, I booked in gold class to go see the new film ‘ Hail, Caesar!’ with my boyfriend for a late birthday present, and I thought i MUST do a review on the film. Why? so you all dont waste any of your money going to see this god awful film!

I know that seems harsh, I do-  but the film was awful from start to finish. When I researched it before booking the tickets, I saw mixed reviews. Some critics loved it, some hated it – but then I saw a youtube review and this man gave the film 4/5 stars, so I thought, why not give it a chance.

Now, before I get into the review, I just have to say – the film will draw you in to wanting to see it, just because of the incredible acting cast that are in this film. And when I say incredible, I mean – Incredible! The film has George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson, Josh Brolin, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swinton and the list go’s on and on! I gave it a chance for this reason. I love all the actors listed above so I was sure the film would be great.. but boy was I wrong. Okay – now I’ll explain why I disliked this film and why I think you all shouldn’t waste your money on seeing it.

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 1.05.14 PM.png

To give you guys some background on the film, Its based in the early 1955’s and follows a man named Eddie Mannix, who is a busy worker trying to solve all the problems that the actors and film makers who work for him are creating at ‘Capitol Pictures’ When the studios biggest actor Baird Whitlock ( George Clooney ) gets kidnapped while filming the final scenes of his new film ‘Hail, Caesar’ the kidnappers ask for $100,000 to get their actor back! Eddie Manix needs to figure out a way to get the actor back and thats basically what the film focuses around.  The Coen brothers directed this film, and you can definitely tell its their work – but not their best, thats for sure! I know I’m know film critic, but I cannot express how boring this movie truly was, and how the story line did not flow and how their had no true meaning to it, what so ever!

11434453_ori.jpg

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 5.50.42 PM.png

The film is a mix of Comedy and Mystery- I would have to disagree though, theres no comedy aspect at all, maybe my type of comedy is different, but i didn’t laugh once.

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 5.52.55 PM.png

There were only a few little things that I liked about this film. I liked the actors in the film, thats a no brainer! Who doesn’t love George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum? I also loved the props and quality of this film. They really did capture the 1950’s perfectly, I will give them that. There was only one scene that interested me also- There’s this scene where Channing Tatum dances/sings, and its the cutest thing to watch and so entertaining! If you search ‘Channing Tatum – No Dames’ on youtube- you can check it out- but besides that.. theres absolutely nothing else I enjoyed about this film. Well done to Channing Tatum on his performance though, What a babe!

dessssk.gif

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 6.10.01 PM.png

Well this list is definitely longer than what I liked about it. Dont get me wrong, I think the actors were incredible – It was more about the story line, the complete stupidity of the story line and how pointless the film was. The scenes weren’t filled like they should have been, there was nothing funny about the film and there were parts that left me and my partner wondering ‘ why the hell that happened’ and ‘ how that even fit in to the story at all’ The only thing that made the film bearable was the face that we were in Gold Class and in the city for the night so we could have a few beverages and forget about how crappy this film was. I knew where they were trying to go with the film.. but I dont think they captured it right. The scenes were not entertaining, the mystery was horrible and the point of the whole film was just lost- I highly recommend just waiting for it to come out on DVD and then make the decision for yourself. I also highly suggest you have a back up movie ready, because you most likely, if you’re like me, will not like it!

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 8.35.44 PM.png

The film goes for 106 minutes. A very, very long 106 minutes if I do say so myself!

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 8.45.46 PM

1-star

Now, I do feel bad only giving the film 1 out of 5, I do – BUT I just didn’t enjoy it at all.. The only thing that was great were the star cast and how well they captured the 50s.. everything else was not entertaining, silly to follow and had no purpose.

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 8.51.01 PM.png

No I wouldn’t – I would watch Channing Tatum’s singing/dance scene again, a thousand times actually, But no, I wouldn’t even sit down at my own house and watch Hail, Caesar! again… ever.

Screen Shot 2016-03-12 at 8.53.10 PM.png

To anyone who likes an exciting, good, solid storyline and when they go to see a comedy/mystery they actually laugh and find the mystery entertaining.. then NO i would not recommend this film. If you personally like to focus on the acting, the stars and the setting of the film, and focus more on aspects like that when you watch films, then maybe you should watch it and decide for yourself- but wait for it on DVD, It isn’t worth seeing on the big screen, thats for sure.

So there you have it guys, my review on ‘Hail, Caesar!’. I hope this helps you make the right decision to wait to see this film from home and not waste your money. Now, to end this negative review on a light note, A final gif of Channing Tatum dancing in the film!

Hey all! So sorry for the lack of posts lately. With celebrating my birthday and doing all this Christmas shopping – its been hectic! Ive had hardly any time to post! So after celebrating my 21st and getting all of these wonderful gifts, I thought- I definitely had to do a new ‘favorites’ post just to discuss the things I’m loving currently from makeup to drinks to food  to what I love doing and much more! I know I did one of these just a few weeks ago, but hey- There’s more things to love now so its time for a new one! Lets go!

kat

Okay Guys, I’m obsessed with this foundation! I honestly cannot believe that until last weekend, I had not tried it! Sephora has recently opened up here in Melbourne and I was in the city on the weekend and decided to drop in. Ive always loved Kat Von D as an artist and she seems real chill and her make-up is always on point, so I walked over to her line and found her ‘lock it tattoo’ foundation. The consistency was exactly how I like my foundations, not too thick but not runny either, it was perfect. $50.00 is reasonable for a great foundation. I took it home then me and my boyfriend, Ryan were going Christmas shopping the next day so I decided to try it, and I LOVED it instantly. I was amazed at the coverage. It dries very quick though so you have to work fast. If anyone loves full coverage, then this IS the foundation to try, I’m not going back to anything else!

FDSFSDF

These ice coffees are to die for! In my previous favourites I stated I loved the mocha white chocolate from starbucks, but starbucks isn’t in our shopping centres anymore sadly, they’ve limited where they are- and Espresso bars are in all my main shopping centres, so these are my go to for a little energy pick me up, they aren’t too strong, they’re cold, icey and so delicious! make sure you get the ice blend- that’s the best one!

WERFEW

So recently I celebrated my 21st birthday, and two of my friends got me some pandora. My childhood friend, got me this ring, the colour of the stone represents my birth stone. They are so cute and look so nice on! They are really original and you can tell where they are from just by looking at them!My bestfriend also got me a 21st pandora bracelette which i NEVER take off either, Its so special and so close to my heart, I love it! Dope!

UntitledAPP

If you read my posts regularly then you would have seen in my ‘wants’ post that I badly wanted a new macbook air.. well my dreams came true! My boyfriend Ryan got me one for my 21st Birthday! I’m literally obsessed! So much better then a tablet or an ipad. Its my go to for everything! I love it. I use it for work, school, social,planning- everything! Instead of having a diary I write my thoughts on my diary app too! Its my favourite gift for sure! I highly recommend if you are looking to get a laptop for school or work, try the apple mac- especially if you are like me and all your gadgets are apple!

TYRTY

My lovely boyfriend Ryan got me this as a present a few weeks ago. I had been eye-ing it off for months but just never went in and got it, I wish I had earlier though because im HOOKED. Not only does it smell like chocolate, the pigment and colours are incredible and they blend so well. I’m a massive fan of earthy tones- browns, sparkle and shades- this palette has it all- I’m literally obsessed.  It also makes your eyes smell delicious so girls, get on it! You will not be disappointed.

RWER.png

This is probably one of the weirdest things ive posted, but im LOVING asparagus lately. I had it on my anniversary dinner 2 weeks ago and have been hooked ever since- I never use to like it, but I love it now! Its fresh, healthy and super good for you- So I’m not complaining!

tyrtyrtyry.png

For my birthday, My dad gave me some nail polishes as a small gift, and a lot of them were pastels. I tried them on a friend of mine and on myself, and became instantly hooked! they were SO pretty. I absolutely love how the colours look on long or short nails. I think the colours look super nice for summer and the warmer months too!

So there they are! A little extension onto the last favourites post! Ill be doing a brand new one in the New Year as this week and next week there will be A LOT of shopping done, so I cant wait to show you all/tell you all about that!

Have a great day guys, Keep Smiling!

Until Next Time,

Happy Tuesday all! I hope the start of your week has been productive and positive! Over the weekend I noticed that this month, there had been SO many things that I’ve been obsessed with and things that I think are really cool and addictive and thought I would share some of my current favourites with you all! The below showcase some of my favourite make-ups, clothes, brands, foods, places and things to do as well as so much more! Ive also added some things that are getting to me, things im stressed about and all around things Im doing/Obsessing over! I hope some of my favourites give you guys some ideas on things to do/thinks you also might think are really cool/dope! Okay, lets do this!

favsong

Anyone who knows me knows loved JB since he began bringing music out in 09′. I’ve been to all his Melbourne shows, spent thousands of dollars on concerts, met him 3 times. He is a large part of my life and seeing that everyone is starting to jump on the Bieber wagon is so dope! I am so super proud of him and his new album ‘purpose’ is for sure album of the year for 2015! I’ve chosen Sorry as my favourite song because not only is it so easy to jam too, but it has incredible lyrics and such a good beat! perfect for summer, I love it!

favfood

Okay- I’m obsessed with Grill’d. I only really allow myself to have one cheat meal/day a week and I swear i ALWAYS end up at grill’d I’m lucky that my boyfriend loves it too! The burgers are the healthiest ive ever had (I mean high in calories but they hit my macros well – carbs, fats, proteins) However, I ALWAYS order the same thing!!

drilllld

FAVCLOTH

Okay so this brand is so dope! I’m literally obsessed! Recently I have had to force myself off their website! I became familiar with the brand a month or so ago, then I saw that Kylie Jenner (who i think is so incredibly beautiful and her style is to die for) was spotted in some really amazing tights, and I noticed they were Dead Studios! They are super affordable and they have a range of pants, tops, jumpers, socks- all really cool ‘active wear’ which you can dress up or down, I’m hooked!

You can check them out at: http://deadstudios.com.au/

DEAD

FAVPOLISH

Okay so I recently did a post on my beauty instagram about my favourite brands, I named three of them, but If I really dug deep, Id say my most loved and definitely my favourite brand currently is ‘Morgan Taylor’ the bottles are super cute, the colour range is to die for and not only is the varnish SO easy to apply but it sits well, dries well and looks so nice on! Check out some of my favourite shades/colours!

FAVSHADES

CRAVING

Oh my goodness. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I complained to my boyfriend over the weekend about how much I wanted one of these things! I only enjoy bad food like, one day a week if that so because I didnt get it on the weekend, my craving is still so STRONG for one of these bad boys! The closest Starbucks from my house is the city, they removed it from my local shopping centre (no idea why it was amazing) I order the white choc mocha frappuccino with half strength coffee, as I’m not a large coffee drinker. Honestly, this frappuccino is to die for, you all have to try it! Its my treat this weekend for sure.

KJ APP

Seriously.. This is such an addiction.. I’m obsessed. I pay like $5.00 a month and its so worth it as I’m constantly scrolling through it and watching videos, tutorials and other crazy cool things.  For those of you who don’t know, the ‘Kylie’ app is an application that was created by Kylie Jenner and is a private app which you can only access if you pay for it. Its also available to sign in via the computer. The app literally showcases Kylies life. Her make-up tutorials, her favourite products, favourite clothes, private videos, question and answers, house tours! Its legit such an incredible app and ive learnt so many cool tricks from it!

kkjjj

I actually adore all aspects of the app- I didnt want to post videos obviously as its copy right but My favourite is Kylies tutroials and house tours! So fun to watch! You can buy it from the app store or visit https://www.thekyliejenner.com/

ECO

Okay dont judge me, Ive had a set of these in my make up containers for SO long but never used them because I didn’t like the design. Dont ask, I know its such a stupid reason, but on Friday night I left my favourite MAC brushes at my Dads and needed something for the weekend so I found them at my Mums in my room and I am SO glad I did! These are so good! They are super soft, super easy to apply makeup with and so good with product. I adore them! I have not stopped using them at all this week! They are SO cheap too! Like 6-7 dollars a brush!

eccccco

tbtbt

Okay so it isn’t a surprise that my fav TV show is Supernatural! It has been for years, but recently ive been addicted to the new Season (11) of Geordie Shore as well as the new Season (11) of Keeping up with the Kardashians! I’m hooked! So good! Such funny shows and so much drama!

stress

EXAMS: I have 2 weeks left of school so exams are becoming super crazy! I’m always stressing about school and my grades!

PLANNING MY 21st: I turn 21 in less then 2 weeks and I have so many things I need to plan for my DIY family party its crazy! ah!

MY WEIGHT: I suffer from body dysmorphia so im constantly stressing about how i look, what I eat and feeling fat!

nars

I adore this foundation. Im always SO picky with my foundations because I want to hide all imperfections- Im deffinetley not a ‘light’ ‘natural’ type makeup girl, thats for sure haha! I dont love spending $70.00 on a foundation..but its worth it and its long lasting! Some of my favourite things about this base is:

fsfsd

WISHES

Okay so before anyone thinks I want these because materialistic things matter most to me, I promise that’s not the case! I’m due for a new car and the Voloster is everything! I’m obsessed with it! I also blog off my ipad and my main imac and I really really want, well need a Macbook to be able to blog, work and do school work anywhere, any time! These are just two wants of mine, and they have been for so so long!

wiwiwi

EXCITE

So November/December are definitely my FAVOURITE months of the year! My birthday, summer, Christmas! so many things to look forward too!

THIS WEEKENDS FIGHT EVENT: My boyfriend, Ryan works for a sporting company called ‘Sting Sports’ they are incredible guys, check them out! (stingsports.com.au) Anyway, so my partner has gotten hold of some tickets to a Muay Thai event this weekend! He took me, his Dad and his best mate to a boxing event a few months back and we had the BEST time, so the fact that there is a new event and we get to watch it and watch the fighters fight in sting merch is the best! Im so proud of my boy and excited to watch some knock outs!

XO

Happy October all! I love this month! Not only is it starting to get warm in Australia but its getting closer to the holiday period and closer to my favorite holidays! Halloween and Christmas! Okay.. so in Australia we don’t celebrate Halloween as amazingly as America does, and it actually sucks! I find it so fun and so exciting and would do anything to experience an American Halloween! That being said.. I wish we celebrated thanks giving too.. I mean, another excuse to be around family, friends and food? Who would want that! Just because Australia doesn’t celebrate Halloween, does not mean I don’t get into the spirit or enjoy it! I actually LOVE it!! I always use October to carve pumpkins, dress the house up in orange, fall colours and watch my favorite Halloween movies.. So I though why not do a few posts this October that are Halloween related, and today ive decided to focus on some of my favorite Halloween movies! Some scary, some gory and some great for a laugh and appropriate for you and your family. Lets do this!

HOCUSPOCUS1

HOCUS POCUS: Honestly I have seen this film so many times, and it never stops being funny and it never gets old! I am obsessed! Not only has it got an incredible cast (Bet Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker) but its appropriate for all ages! It’s a Walt Disney film that focuses around 3 witches coming back from the dead to cause mayhem on All Hallows Eve to ensure they can stay on Earth forever. It’s an adventure packed film which will have you laughing.. And maybe even crying! I’ve seen this film so many times and often make my Boyfriend sit through it with me.  It is such an incredibly made Halloween film and will really get you in the spirit! Bet Midler plays such an amazing part as the main, head sister and keeps you entertained throughout the whole film. My favourite line from the movie? When Winnie (Bet Midler) yells “SISTAAAAHSS” everytime she wants her sister’s attention, and Im  sure if you have seen the film, you would have just read that in her voice! This is definitely one of my all-time favourites.

RTRET

ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES: Okay, I love EVERYTHING to do with the Addams family! They are crazy! I love the original Adams family film as well, however Addams family values is such a funny, eventful film and is definitely one I love to watch around Halloween. Its definitely a family friendly film too, and great for a night in with your loved ones. It’s so funny, so entertaining but still spooky at the same time.  The film has all your favourite characters, even ‘Thing’ is in the film. The layout, props and costumes are incredible and really bring the fiction to life. I couldn’t think of anything better then snuggling up on the couch watching Addams family and Addams Family values on Halloween night!

TRET

HALLOWEEN MOVIES: Okay, I cant chose one of these. These are for all of you who love to be scared and are into the Gore, I definitely don’t recommend these for family night that’s for sure! The Halloween collection has been going on for as long as I can remember, there really is so many films and I believe all of them deserve to be watched! The film series began in 1978 and stars a young Jamie Lee Curtis when (Michael Meyers.) kills his 17 year old sister, and when he is released from prison 15 years later, he is back to cause more heartache. Halloween II is a continue on from that, and the films go on! There is currently 10, with an 11th being made! Its crazy and they are all worth watching! The story line is creepy and perfect for Halloween. You watch Jamie Lee Curtis grow up and she plays such an incredible role! I highly recommend checking them all out – You can head to http://halloweenmovies.com/the-films/ for more info on all the films.

DDD

DRAG ME TO HELL: Okay, I know, This film inst everyone’s cup of tea, there is a mix of reviews, some people loved it, some people hated it and thought it was horrible. I personally enjoyed it and think its a great one for Halloween and for a good spook. The film is about a loan officer turns down an ageing gypsy’s application only to face down a dark curse that threatens to steal her soul. There are so many moments in the film that will have you jumping and a surprising laughing too. Its a great one to watch with friends who also love horror films! I personally didn’t find the film scary, but the story line is great and the jumpy parts will really make you jump!

GJDFG

THE CONJURING: Okay, Ill admit it- this film scared me and its still one I refuse to watch by myself! Its based on the true case studys of the Warrens which makes it even scarier. In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) Warren are summoned to the home of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. Though the manifestations are relatively benign at first, events soon escalate in horrifying fashion, especially after the Warrens discover the house’s macabre history. The film with have you on the edge of your seat, I covered my eyes so many times the first time I saw this film. The story line, acting and suspense is incredible and I recommend this to all who love to be scared and who dont scare easy, because Im sure that this film will freak you out! Its definitely one of the scariest horror films ive seen in a long time! Perfect for a fright night, Halloween special!

DFSDFSDF

ANNABELLE: Okay so this film was done by the team who created the conjuring and its definitely obvious! This film freaked me out! Its based on events that took place before the Conjuring and its super scary. The film is full of jumpy parts and full of suspense, its another film I refuse to watch alone. Its based on a doll that gets possessed by an evil, satanic lady who killed herself to possess the doll. This film will have you at the edge of your seat, scared. Whats scarier than a possessed little girl? I can tell you, I possessed DOLL that looks like a little girl. Watch it with people guys, dont watch it alone if you don’t want nightmares! I literally had to take teddy’s and dolls out of my house it freaked me out that much!

RYYY

SCREAM (4 FILMS): These were some of my favourite scary movies (No pun intended). When I was younger I thought they were super scary, and super realistic! The First scream, ‘Scream’ was released in 1996 and starred incredible actors such as  Neve Campbell,Courteney Cox, Drew Barrymore, and David Arquette.Scream is based around the character of Sidney Prescott (Campbell), a high school student in the fictional town of Woodsboro, California, who becomes the target of a mysterious killer known as Ghostface. The film has so much suspense and really leaves you wanting to know what happens to Sidney, that’s when number 2 came out and everyone went crazy! There are 4 films and they all star Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette. Every film has such suspense and keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering who will survive and who want, Its such a mystery- can you find out who the killer is in each film?

FFSDFS

BEETLEJUICE: Okay, I know this film isn’t scary, but its a classic and is perfect for your friends and family who don’t enjoy being scared or frightened. The film is based around a couple who die in a car crash and are told by the ghosts they need to remain in their house for 150 years, that doesn’t bother them until their house is sold and a family completely opposite to them move in, and they do all they can to move them out.. they employ beetle juice to help remove them from the house.. and that’s when things take a turn for the worst! Its such a funny, enjoyable creepy- weird film to watch! Its one that will have you giggling and ‘ewing’ through the whole film!

DDDDDD

DISTURBIA: Okay Yes, This inst a Supernatural film, but its a Thriller and its one of my favourites! Starring Shia Labeouf as a teen on house arrest who starts spying on his neighbours and has suspicions that one is in fact.. a serial killer. The film is funny, suspenseful and thrilling and the story line and the way the film plays out is so entertaining and so well done! For you all who love thrillers, suspense and trying to figure out the killer and what’s going on – this film is definitely for you. You get to see Kale (Labeouf) get the girl of his dreams too!

CCCCC

CORPSE BRIDE: How could I do this list without one cartoon film directed by Tim Burton?! The Corpse Bride was always one of my favourites growing up! The film is about Victor (Johnny Depp) and Victoria’s (Emily Watson) families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he’s in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, which he is super nervous about, suddenly a tree branch swoops and drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, who was murdered after marrying with her love and now wants to marry Victor. Victor must get back to the land of the living and above ground Victoria marries the villainous Barkis Bittern (Richard E. Grant). The film is absolutley incredible and will have you laughing, and possibly even crying. I suggest closing your blind though, its a dark film and watching it with sunlight shinning.. you will only see your reflection ha-ha! Any film that stars Johnny Depp, acting or just voice over- I’ll watch! He’s incredible.

There you have it guys, My top 10 favourites for Halloween! Yes.. there’s more than 10 if you count the multiple films of each series.. but you can thank me for that later! Ha-ha! I cannot wait to watch these films again through October with my friends and family and get into the Halloween Spirit! I hope you all have an Incredible Halloween and eat all the Lollies, Chocolates and Candy your stomachs can handle!

I’M BACK! FILM REVIEW- SAN ANDREAS

Hi Guys! I know its been so so so long since I’ve posted and I am seriously so sorry- Ive been so caught up with school, assignments and exams I haven’t had the time! However I have had the time to build up a list of things I want to write about and this week ill be reviewing the movie ‘SAN ANDREAS’ Staring Dwayne Johnson AKA the Rock! I’ve seen a few films since the last time I posted so slowly, I will be writing reviews on them, and let me tell you- some of them are incredible, and some of them.. I would rather watch paint dry then have to sit through them movies again! Harsh… but that’s the honest truth!

Before I get started- I might just write about what’s been going on with me. As some of you are aware, I’m currently studying a diploma in Beauty Therapy to become a Beauty Therapist. I absolutely love what I do- However the last few months have been super stressful with the classes I have been given this semester. There are a lot of exams, A lot of assignments, Practical and Theory- and There has been I really needed to focus on to ensure my grades were high and ensure I didn’t just ‘pass’. When you are passionate about something you really want to succeed, and that’s why I placed a lot of my time and effort into my schooling and put all my social media and blogging aside. Im back now and cannot wait to share with you guys the reviews, tips and everything in between Ive wanted to write about! Today though- I will be reviewing the film San Andreas. Lets get this started!

FILM REVIEW- SAN ANDREAS

Directed By: Brad Peyton

San_Andreas_poster

This film is about the San Andreas fault triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake. Helicopter Pilot and search and rescue officer, Ray (Dwayne Johnson) must navigate the destruction from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save his daughter who is stuck in the midst of all the chaos and destruction.

I honestly, Cannot fault this film. I absolutely loved it. The story line was incredible the effects were mind blowing, and even one of Australia’s own, Kylie Minogue was spotted in the film.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love action films and this film was definitely full of action and scenes keeping you on the edge of your seat. I believe the casting of this film was SPOT ON. No one plays a tough, scared of nothing rescue officer like Dwayne Johnson does! He plays his role as a Hero and Father, Perfectly in this film.

Something that really stood out to me in this film also was the fact that although majority of the film was focused on the falling of buildings and chaos, there was still such a solid, incredible story line, which made you feel for the characters and what was going on. I love that. I’ve seen so many films previously that are actioned based, However the story line wasn’t great and their wasn’t enough focus on the characters, their feelings and what was going on in their lives, where this film, San Andreas focuses around the story and the action. There was not a dull or boring moment in this film either I realised. Every moment there was something to focus on or something important.

The cast of this film all worked together really well and vibed incredibly. Each actor was chosen perfectly for their role and seeing Kylie Minogue playing a bitchy business woman was definitely a shock! Ive always enjoyed watching Dwaynes heroic movies, but there was something about this one that really captured my heart.. That was the bond between character Ray (Dwayne) and his Daughter Blake (Played by Alexandra Daddario). I obviously do not want to give too much away, but there is a special scene which shows the love and concern Ray has for his daughter and how he will go through all measures to make sure she is safe and back with her Parents. It really is touching.

Moving on to the special effects in this movie- This is really big for me to say, but I honestly believe that these are some of the most mind blowing, realistic effects I have ever seen. I literally could not fault them! The buildings falling, the waves, the ships crashing- It was all so incredibly well done and fit so perfectly into each scene.

maxresdefault

To put it lightly, I plan on going and seeing this film again in cinemas. What I loved about it though was seeing it in 3D. The only thing I didn’t like are the shitty glasses Hoyts give you, they aren’t even straight and don’t sit on your face properly.. but that’s not the point here.. haha.

Without giving too much away- If you enjoy your action films that keep you on the edge of your seat, that luckily have an incredible story line- this is for you. The movie is so realistic and incredible and I really cannot fault anything. I was a massive, massive fan of San Andreas! What an amazing film! Make sure you all go catch it and watch it on the big screen- you don’t want to see it any other way!

SAN ANDREAS RATING:

I give this film 5 out of 5 STARS.

FAST AND FURIOUS 7 – FILM REVIEW AND OPINION

Hey Guys! Is it just me or do the weeks fly by so quickly these days?! I feel like because my week is broken up with 2 days of work, 2 days of Uni and 1 day off, the weeks go so so quickly! Anyway, For the last 4 months i have been waiting very impatiently for the new fast and furious movie to come out, however I did have extreme mixed emotions about going to see it. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a big Paul Walker fan and always had a soft spot for him ever since I watched the first Fast and Furious. He made the series so exciting and so intriguing and he was so, so super talented. When he past away, God rest his soul- I was devastated. I didn’t want to believe it and didn’t want to come to terms with the fact that the movies would never be the same.

So finally, Sunday my Boyfriend, Ryan, Asked if I wanted to go and see the movie. I thought about it for a while and decided it was time, because if I kept putting it off, Id just continue to wonder about what happens in the film and how they farewell Paul, So i decided to go watch it.

This review isn’t going to go into detail of the film, because out of respect i feel like everyone who has followed the fast and Furious movies should go and see it and be surprised by what happens, however I will say the movie had a very different feel to the other ones. It definitely lost the comedic traits it had in the previous film. I don’t know if this is because they were trying to give a more serious feel to the movie, or if they didn’t want to be too comedic after the death of Paul, I personally dont know why the comedic trait wasn’t in this film, but it was definitely noticeable. Another thing i realised about the film was the fact that because many important loved characters passed away in the previous movie, Fast 6- It felt like the whole team and family were not complete in this movie. I understand it is just a film, and I shouldn’t be getting so personal, but being a person who has watched the film series for years and years, I became attached to all characters, and when very important and meaningful characters were lost in the previous film, It felt like the complete team was not there in Fast 7, meaning I felt like there was always something missing throughout the entire film, and that the ‘family’ as they call it was not a whole, and Im sure other fans of the series would agree with me.

Going into the film, I was expecting it to have a lot of focus on the characters that had been lost, a lot of focus on cars they drive, a lot of focus on the bond they share, But i believe it wasnt like that at all. It almost felt like an episode of criminal minds, where the team were catching the bad guy and locking him up, Yes it was a side of revenge for what they did to their friend, but i dont believe the movie was on a personal level, It was more of a ‘heres the bad guy, lets make a plan, catch him, put him in jail’.

I went into the film expecting their to be alot more background, alot more focus on the relationships between all the ‘family members’ but thats not what the film was focused around. This, however is not me giving a negative on the film, I am simply saying my expectation was a lot different to what actually went down.

This being said, If I was to watch the film not knowing too much about the previous films and not being so deep into the characters and emotion, and I was reviewing the film strictly on the story line – I bow down to the cast and crew. The movie had some amazing special effects, amazing stunts and amazing characters who we haven’t seen before which really brings the film to life.

Iggy Azalia and fight champion Ronda Rousey make an appearance in the film which is exciting when you aren’t expecting it. What also makes it exciting is the roles they play fit in with what they do in real life, which is actually pretty cool.

As stated earlier, Im not going to go into the story line too much because I believe you guys should see it for yourself and get surprised by the actions that take place but there is one more thing I wanted to speak about.

Towards the end of the film they do a beautiful tribute to Paul. Its probably my favourite part of the entire film. Its so incredibly emotional and so incredibly touching. What I love about it too is because they are still in character however themselves. They are referring to Brian and Paul at the same time when they are speaking and it was truly amazing to watch. They start playing the beautiful Wiz Khalifa song dedicated to Paul and it ends with them going down two different paths driving their cars. Its such an emotional ending and I was crying my eyes out!

I would personally like to give a shout out to Paul Walkers amazing brothers Cody and Caleb who made the film possible by filming the parts that Paul couldn’t do due to his passing. What an incredible selfless thing to do, to keep your brothers memory and spirit alive. I couldn’t imagine how hard that would have been and the memories it would have triggered, and you helped bring to life and film that will live on forever.

On a final note, I must say you all need to see this film for yourselves and experience the talent for yourselves. Its definitely one to go and see with your loved ones or friends.

MONDAY PRODUCT REVIEWS: MANIC PANIC HAIR COLOUR.

PRODUCT REVIEW MONDAYS.

Hey Guys! Happy Monday! Is It just me or did last week absolutely fly? I feel like I only just wrote last weeks product review! Okay, so this week I will be reviewing the hair fudge made by Manic Panic.

4 months ago I was getting very eager to go ombre with a stand out colour. I was trying hair chalks and wanting to actually get colours more permanent and real looking in my hair. I went to my local hair dressers and he would not bleach the bottom- He ended up putting a red colour in my hair which made my hair basically look the exact same as before I even walked into the salon! I was so upset! I paid $150 for nothing. I remember saying how I wanted to make the colour more vibrant, so I decided to go to a different hair dresser where they bleached the bottom of my hair then placed a ‘Manic Panic’ purple hair fudge onto my hair. I loved it! I loved the colour change however I until felt like the colour wasn’t AS vibrant as what I was hoping for. I remember, washing my hair for the first time after getting it done and how much hair fudge came out of my hair, the purple was starting to fade so quickly and turning into a weird green colour after 4 washes. I knew if I kept doing the purple the same thing was going to just keep happening, So I decided to try the Manic Panic ‘Atomic Turquoise’ fudge colour. I’ve been using this colour now for 2 months and I honestly am so glad I decided to try it!

PROS: The product comes in a easy to use container, so you literally don’t need to covert the product to a bowl or anything, you can use it just how it is, in the tub. The small container allows me to dye my hair twice without having to continue buy a new bottle every time I want to dye my hair. I found that because my hair wasn’t bleached completely and I had only bleached it once, the colour wasn’t as strong as a turquoise, however more like a teal, and I absolutely fell in love with the colour! At this stage I have no plans to change it any time soon. The teal definitely holds so much better then the purple colour did and I find myself not having to dye it as much as I had to when the base colour was purple. The colour is so easy to apply and it doesn’t even have to be in your hair for too long. When washing your hair, The dye that comes out does not stain your shower which is so important to me, as my bathroom has a white tile shower, so there would be nothing worse than the tiles being a teal colour after washing my hair. Why I keep going back to this product is because the colour range is extremely wide and they offer bleaches and pastel colours also, there is such an incredible range to choose from. I absolutely love having dark hair up the top falling into a teal ombre towards the bottom. It definitely beats just having one plain colour in my hair!

Untitled

CONS: The price is pretty steep. It costs $25 for a small bottle of the colour which is a lot more then what you pay for a hair dye off the shelf, however I only dye my hair once a month with the ombre colour and I get x2 dyes out of each bottle, so it hardly adds up to being anything when I’m using all of the product efficiently.  Nothing worse than washing my hair and watching the colour run out when I use shampoo. I suggest using a colour enhancing shampoo to try and hold the colour as long as possible. The only other downfall I can say about the Manic Panic hair dyes are how they really do kill your hair, Before Dying it, my hair use to be around 10cm longer, and because of the original bleach and the constant colouring it is harsh on my hair- as expected though, It’s not a natural process.

So Guys, If you’re looking for a semi-permanent vibrant colour to brighten up your hair, I suggest giving Manic Panic a go, they stock them everywhere! (Australia: Hair house warehouse and Price attack are where I get mine from) There are so many colours and shades to choose from, you will be spoilt for choice- The lighter the hair the better the colour will hold- just remember that! Any Questions don’t be afraid to follow me on Instagram:  @teganaudrey and I’ll be happy to answer any of them!

PRODUCT REVIEW MONDAYS: FITBIT FLEX.

PRODUCT: FITBIT FLEX WIRELESS

Good Morning Guys and Happy Monday! To kick start this week I’ll be reviewing the Fitbit flex wireless that I was given to as an anniversary present from my Boyfriend in December, 2014. Before getting this product I nagged and nagged for it! I just had to have it! Nothing makes me happier than being able to know how many steps I’m walking, how many calories I’m burning and having a cool little arm band wrapped around my wrist as well! Let me give you a little low down on the product. The slim device tracks your steps. Distance and calories burned. At night it is able to track your sleep qualities and can also wake you up silently in the morning through vibrations. There are many forms of the Fitbit but I’m reviewing the Flex wireless wristband product.

PROS: What I absolutely adore about this product is how easy it is to use. It sits on your wrist just as a wristband would and you give it a little tap to indicate how many steps you have taken that day, when you reach 10,000 steps- which is a daily goal it will vibrate and light up. What is so handy about the FitBit flex is that you download the app, and with the power of Bluetooth and a smart phone, you are able to see how many calories you have burned, how many steps you have taken, how you’ve slept and the distance you’ve walked/run. The app also allows you to challenge other fitbit owners to weekly challenges- you can compete with who can take the most steps each day- A fun way to keep you motivated with your fitness goals. With the wristband, you are able to take the small usb device out of the wristband and change it to a new band with a different colour etc. The colours and styles aren’t limited and you don’t even feel like they are on your wrist. Its come to the point now, that If I’m not wearing my Fitbit I feel naked and worry if I have reached at least 10,000 steps that way. It is so easy to charge. I charge it overnight, once a week and It has always been reliable with battery. There is also a website you can go to and start up an account to keep yourself on track further.  It is constantly motivating me to keep walking, keep moving, and shows me that if my walking levels are low, that I need to be more active that day and move around. The Fitbit is an amazing way to keep you on track. If you are a fitness freak or are trying to benefit your health or become more active, you need the Fitbit in your life!

apps

CONS: When I go onto the app of my Fitbit Its often telling me I’ve already burnt many more calories then I know I would have.  I wake up, walk for only 10 minutes, or travel to work and my Fitbit tells me that over 1500 calories had been burnt, how though? I’ve hardly done anything!? When it comes to calorie counting I personally do not track it from what my Fitbit is saying, I stick to different forms of calorie counting like my cardio machines at gym or look up per how many steps I’ve taken what the calories would be. I don’t have many cons when It comes to the FitBit flex, however I had a pretty disappointing moment with mine last week. I charged it all night, put my wristband on, went for a very long walk and went to check my progress and no lights were coming on. I tapped and tapped and tapped, tried to sync the device with my app and nothing would work. I searched the web for a way to help and I came by heaps of people that the same issue had happened too! The best and most popular answer was that on the fitbit charger, there is a small reset button on the back that you can stick a pin into and reset the device without losing your stats. As soon I did this my fitbit came back on but was very low battery, so I needed to re charge my fitbit, which doesn’t take too long, so in no time I was back using my fitbit! Apart from those 2 small issues, I could not fault the device at all.

charger

The flex is so handy, so easy to use and provides you with information that would really help your fitness journey!

For this weeks product review Monday, I give this product: 4 STARS OUT OF 5.
